Coleraine and Institute battled to an equal share of the points in an entertaining Friday night encounter at The Showgrounds.
The sides traded chances during the opening exchanges. Eoin Bradley pulled an early effort wide for Coleraine while, at the other, Michael McCrudden twice failed to find the target.
McCrudden then curled a free-kick over a little later in the half with a Bradley shot suffering a similar fate midway through the first half.
However, the deadlock was broken on 40 minutes. A 'Stute short corner reached Stephen Curry on the edge of the area with his shot on goal turned away by Chris Johns ... but from the resulting corner Dean Curry was in the right place to head home.
It was a lead the visitors were only able to hold onto until the 53rd minute when a Stephen Lowry cross from the left was swept past Martin Gallagher by Jamie McGonigle.
Institute almost regained the lead around the hour after Curry looked set to fire home a free-kick only for Johns to superbly turn the ball behind.
Then, with just over a quarter-of-an-hour remaining, Coleraine moved in front through Brad Lyons who rose highest to nod an Aaron Traynor cross into the net.
But, with 11 minutes remaining, 'Stute levelled through a successfully converted McCrudden penalty awarded after Lowry brought down Callum Moorehead in the box.
