BLUES POWER TO WINDSOR VICTORY

Two goals in the opening quarter-of-an-hour helped Linfield power to a comprehensive victory over Crusaders at Windsor Park.

Joel Cooper kicked the scoring off after 11 minutes with the aid of a deflection after a Stephen Fallon pass had split the Crusaders defence.

Then, three minutes after that, Jimmy Callacher got his head to a Kirk Millar corner from the left to double Linfield's lead.

It was 3-0 early in the second half wth Josh Robinson finding the net at the second attempt after his initial effort from a Niall Quinn free-kick was palmed away by Harry Doherty.

Linfield further extended their advantage six minutes later with the goal of the game. Jordan Stewart collected the ball from Cooper and proceeded to cut a swathe through the Crues defence before touching the finish past Doherty.

Crusaders did craft a consolation on 67 minutes, however, with a Philip Lowry back post volley after the home defence failed to clear a corner.
