Coleraine remain five points clear at top of the table following this three goal victory over Glentoran at The Showgrounds.

The league leaders moved in front as early as the fourth minute when Joe McCready did well to find Ian Parkhill who, in turn, took the ball past Elliott Morris and into the net.

And the Bannsiders grabbed a second just before the half-hour mark. McCready saw a shot saved, before Morris denied Parkhill's follow-up but when Josh Carson delivered the ball back in again Darren McCauley got on the end of it to nod it beyond the Glentoran 'keeper.

Chasing the game, Glentoran upped the ante after the break with Curtis Allen twice being unlucky, flashing one effort wide before seeing an attempted lob of Chris Johns dropped the wrong side of the target.

Then substitute Dylan Davidson almost found the net with a long range free-kick but, on the counter, Jamie McGonigle might have grabbed Coleraine's third only to smash the ball against the crossbar.

But that McGonigle did get that third goal with eight minutes remaining after stroking the ball home from a McCauley delivery.
