CITY WIN BATTLE OF THE BOTTOM TWO
Newry City fought back from a goal down to defeat Newington in the battle of the bottom two at The Showgrounds.
The visitors moved in front when Josh Diver found the net six minutes from the break, but Newry hit back early in the second half to level through Fra McCaffrey from a Lorcan Forde cross.
Darren Mullen's side then edged into the lead themselves just after the hour when Adam Carroll nodded a Stephen Moan left-sided cross past keeper Dean Smyth.
And they made sure of the points right at the end of the game through Donal Scullion.
