Two second half goals helped Institute get the better of Newry City at the Brandywell.
The visitors, with manager Darren Mullen back in the hotseat, had perhaps the best effort of the scoreless first half when Adam Salley played Dualta Honney through on 34 minutes only for 'Stute keeper Fintan Doherty to deal with his shot.
The deadlock was broken just after the hour when Sean Carlin bagged his first goal for 'Stute with an effort in off the post.
Then, with just under a quarter-of-an-hour remaining, Mikhail Kennedy doubled up on the rebound after Conor Mitchell had made an initial save.
