ARDS COMFORTABLE AT THE SHOWGROUNDS
Ards swept to a comprehensive defeat of Newry City at The Showgrounds.
The visitors led at the break thanks to goals from Patrick Cafolla and Mark Carson, but City hit back nine minutes into the second half when Ryan McNickle made no mistake from a low Steven Ball cross from the left.
However Newry were reduced to ten men soon after when Noel Healy received a straight red card, and the visitors went on to make their numerical advantage count with late goals from Eamon and Connor Scannell.
