O'CONNOR DOUBLE EARNS WELDERS THE WIN
Tiarnan O'Connor scored both goals for leaders HW Welders as they defeated Newry City at the Blanchflower Stadium.
The 21-year-old opened the scoring after just four minutes when he intercepted Fra McCaffrey's back pass, took it around keeper Conor Mitchell and into the net.
O'Connor struck again early in the second half with a powerful left-foot effort to put the Welders into a strong position for the remainder of the game.
Newry did pull one back in stoppage time, though, when Ryan McNickle converted from the spot.
