ROESIDERS FINE START CONTINUES AGAINST ARMAGH
Limavady United kept up their fine start to the Playr-Fit Championship season with a comfortable win over Armagh City.
The Roesiders burst into life after just four minutes as Lewis Tosh broke down the right flank and crossed for John Butcher to knock home the opening goal at the back post.
Igor Rutkowski missed a great chance to equalise for the visitors, when he capitalised on a mistake in the home defence and held off the challenge of Crown, but seen his stinging effort well saved by Gallagher.
Limavady United doubled their lead on 32 minutes, when Ian Parkhill picked up the ball on the half-way line, dribbled past two defenders and placed his shot out of the reach of Byrne from 25 yards out.
The home side were bossing proceedings and it became 3-0 on 66 minutes, when good work from McCrudden and Parkhill teed up Lewis Tosh to fire home and all but secure the three points.
The win keeps Limavady United in second place in the Championship table, only goal an inferior goal difference keeping them from claiming top spot from HW Welders.
