FOUR GOAL MALLARDS SHINE
Ballinamallard produced a superb display in the Ferney Park sunshine to claim all three points against Newington.
It took only eleven minutes for the home side to start the afternoon's scoring through a stinging counter attack involving Stewart, Barker and McGrath, with the latter applying the finishing touch - firing the ball under Brown from just inside the box.
The second goal came on the cusp of half-time in stunning fashion. Jamie Dunne picked up the ball on the left flank and cut inside before firing an outrageous effort with the outside of his boot from the edge of the penalty area.
Into the second half and the Mallards looked to have the points wrapped up when Darragh Stewart made it 3-0 on 67 minutes.
Four minutes later, the visitors did pull a goal back through Jackson Reid but it proved to be only a consolation for the North Belfast club.
The three goal lead for the home side was restored in stoppage time to wrap up all three points, as substitute Simon Warrington found space and drilled the ball past Brown for Ballinamallard's fourth goal of a productive afternoon.
