SWANS FEND OFF 'BREDA FIGHT BACK
Newington ended the season on a high note with victory over Knockbreda in a seven-goal thriller at Breda Park.
The Swans moved in front as early as the fourth minute through Ben McCaul but the sides went in at the break on level terms when Marcus Murphy levelled for 'Breda.
However the visitors stormed into a commanding lead early in the second half when Darren Stuart, Patrick Downey and Stuart again all found the net before the hour.
Back came 'Breda through Ashton McDermott midway through the half before Peter McDermott reduced the deficit further from the spot with just over a quarter-of-an-hour remaining ... but the visitors held on to claim the points in the end.
