HONOURS EVEN AS BOTH MISS OUT
Annagh United and Bangor battled to a scoreless draw at the BMG Arena, a result which saw both sides lose out in the chase for the play-off spot.
Despite the eventual outcome there was no shortage of chances created throughout the game, with Ben Arthurs the first to come close on 11 minutes only to be denied by keeper Jason Craughwell at point blank race.
At the other end James Taylor got down well to keep out James Convie's curling effort towards the far post.
And both could have gained the upper hand at the break, but Ben Cushnie could only fire narrowly over while Scott McArthur just failed to hit the target soon after.
Stephen Murray came close for Annagh only to send the ball just wide, followed by a scramble in the box with Aaron Rogers just failing to touch the ball home at the back post.
Bangor enjoyed the majority of openings after the break.
Craughwell did well to tip Tom Mathieson's effort over, Cushnie just failed to turn the ball the right side of the post, Lewis Francis nodded over from a Conor McDermott corner ... and McDermott himself sent another effort just a little too high.
Annagh were reduced to ten men late on when Ruairi McDonald received his second booking of the game, but the Seasiders just couldn't make their numerical advantage count in the closing stages.
