COMRADES SWEEP PAST SWANS
Three first half goals helped Ballyclare Comrades sweep to victory over Newington at Inver Park.
Michael Morgan opened the scoring after just nine minutes with a tidy finish into the far corner after Gary Donnelly had dinked the ball over the top.
Morgan turned provider midway through the first half to tee Brian Healy up double the visitors advantage from the edge of the box.
Skipper Donnelly then added a third on 35 minutes with a bending effort into the top corner which left keeper Dean Smyth rooted to the spot.
Healy then added a fourth just past the hour after he took the ball around Smyth and into the net at the near post.
The Swans did pull one back soon after through Peter McKiernan, and bagged another deep into stoppage time when Paul Donnelly found the net.
