COMRADES EDGE IT AT CLANDEBOYE
Two goals early in the second half helped Ballyclare Comrades defeat Ards at Clandeboye Park.
Ards had the ball in the net around the quarter-of-an-hour mark when Lee Newell knocked it home but his 'goal' was ruled out offside by the officials.
But Ards did move in front on 28 minutes through Ross Hunter who blasted home from inside the box after the visiting defence failed to clear.
Ballyclare hit back a minute into the second half courtesy of Brian Healy's low strike from the edge of the box.
Then, five minutes after that, skipper Gary Donnelly converted from the spot after Michael Morgan had been upended.
Morgan thought he had added a third late in the game but his close range finish was also ruled out by the assistant referee.
