ARDS TAKE A STEP TOWARDS SAFETY
Ards took another step towards ensuring their Championship safety with this draw with Newington at Clandeboye Park.
Although scoreless at the break, both sides struck the woodwork during the first half while Aidan Steele was also denied by a goalline clearance after half-an-hour.
Ards eventually edged in front just five minutes into the second half when Ethan Taggart managed to bundle the ball over the line.
And that was how it stayed until the closing stages after Darren Stuart got his head to a corner to direct the ball beyond Alex Moore.
