ARDS TAKE HUGE STEP TOWARDS SAFETY
Ards swept to an important three-goal victory over Knockbreda in a big bottom of the table clash at Seaview.
The points were a huge boost in Ards' hopes of being sucked into a relegation play-off, while 'Breda are now within one point of being confirmed for a drop to the Premier Intermediate League.
John Bailie's side moved in front just after the half-hour mark when, on 32 minutes, Aidan Steele tapped the ball home at the back post after David McAllister had knocked on an Ethan Taggart cross.
It took Ards until four minutes from time to double their advantage, with Lee Newell using his strength to hold off a defender before slotting past keeper Benjamin Fry.
And a bit of gloss was added to the scoreless deep into stoppage time after the ball broke for substitute Callum Dougan to complete the scoring.
