RAMPANT ANNAGH STUN PORTS
Annagh United kept their promotion hopes alive with victory over leaders Portadown in the derby at Shamrock Park.
The visitors moved in front on 41 minutes when Nathan Kerr converted from the spot, awarded after James Convie had been brought down by TJ Murray.
Then, four minutes after that, Annagh until their advantage. Convie was once again upended, this time outside the area, with Ruairi McDonald curling the subsequent free-kick into the top right corner.
United moved further in front eight minutes into the second half when Eoin Teggart found the net direct from a corner ... and ten minutes later McDonald hit a fourth from the edge of the area.
Portadown pulled one back on 65 minutes through Mark Russell at the back post after he ball had come over from the right.
And they reduced the deficit further with just over a quarter-of-an-hour remaining when Luke Wilson turned home a left-sided cross, but there was ultimately no way back for Niall Currie's side.
