KENNEDY BAGS THE WINNER AT CLANDEBOYE
Institute leapfrogged Bangor into third spot in the Playr-Fit Championship with victory over the Seasiders at Clandeboye Park.
Scoreless at the break, both sides had their chances to move in front just before the break with Scott McArthur driving an effort just wide while Tom Mathieson looped the ball just over from close range.
At the other end Conor McDermott made a timely intervention to deny Mikhail Kennedy, and Kennedy threatened again just before the hour with a free-kick that Bangor keeper James Taylor was forced to turn around an upright.
But Kennedy went one better on 62 minutes with what proved to be the winner after getting the final touch at close range to Daniel Lafferty's free-kick delivered from outside the right side of the area.
