HARRIS HITS THE TARGET FOR 'STUTE
Institute got their promotion push back on track with a narrow defeat of HW Welders at the Blanchflower Stadium.
What proved to be the match winner and only goal of the game came midway through the first half when Michael Harris was on hand to smash the ball into the net after a dangerous ball had been played into the box.
The Welders might have levelled late in the first half only for Kyle Owens to see a header saved at the near post while, after the break, Matthew Ferguson was denied by another good stop from 'Stute keeper Gareth Muldoon.
The visitors were then thwarted on the counter attack when Jack Mills did well to make a great save but the Welders enjoyed the majority of chances as the game progressed with Ferguson coming closest to equalising when he broke through on goal only to lift the ball over Muldoon but also unfortunately just over the bar.
