CONVIE BAGS LATE WINNER IN SEVEN-GOAL THRILLER
Annagh United bagged a stoppage time winner to defeat HW Welders in a seven-goal thriller at the BMG Arena.
James Convie opened the scoring for Annagh with just over ten minutes on the clock after beating the offside trap to run onto a Niall Henderson ball over the top.
But the Welders hit back to turn the game around with two goals midway through the first half.
Michael McLellan levelled on 20 minutes from the spot before, a short time after that, Ewan McCoubrey found the net with a back post volley after connecting with Oisin Barr's cross from the right.
Annagh hit back around the hour mark courtesy of Jackson Nesbitt's stunning left foot volley before, on 78 minutes, they regained the advantage through Darragh Stewart's finish into the bottom left corner.
The Welders made it 3-3 with four minutes remaining with a Matthew Ferguson strike from the edge of the area but, three minutes into added time, Convie popped up with Annagh's winner after going on a solo run from the centre circle to ultimately slot past keeper Jack Mills.
