SEASIDERS CRUISING AT CLANDEBOYE
Bangor closed the gap at the top of the table to just two points with a comprehensive defeat of Ballyclare Comrades at Clandeboye Park.
The Seasiders had a couple of opportunities to take the lead during the opening half-an-hour with Ben Arthurs forcing Declan Breen into a save with a header from Tiarnan Mulvenna's free-kick while, moments later, Lewis Francis headed just over at the back post.
But the home side did go in front on 37 minutes after Scott McArthur fired home from close range after getting on the end of a long throw into the box.
Ben Cushnie doubled the home advantage early in the second half when he ran onto a McArthur pass to finish beyond Breen.
McArthur then added a third on 68 minutes with a simple tap in at the back post from a parried Adam Neale effort before, in stoppage time, Ben Arthurs slotted home from a corner.
