HAT-TRICK FOR STUART AS SWANS CRUSH PORTS
Darren Stuart bagged a hat-trick as Newington crushed Portadown at Shamrock Park.
Stuart opened the scoring on 21 minutes with an effort into the roof of the net from the edge of the six yard box after Ruaidhri Donnelly had knocked the ball back from the byline.
Then, four minutes after that, Stuart doubled his tally from a similar distance after a Richard Gowdy corner from the left led to a bit of pinball in the area.
That was how it stayed until the 71st minute when Donnelly got his name on the scoresheet after getting past Luke Wilson down the left, bringing the ball into the area and slotting low past Gareth Buchanan at the near post.
And just four minutes later Stuart laid claim to the match ball to complete the scoring when the ball fell for him after Buchanan had turned away Peter McKiernan's initial effort.
