MAYSE AT THE DOUBLE AS PORTS FIGHT BACK
Portadown fought back from two goals down to earn a point from the visit of Ballyclare Comrades to Shamrock Park.
The visitors might have moved in front after barely a couple of minutes had elapsed when Brian Healy's effort was turned onto the crossbar by Ports keeper Aaron Hogg.
The Ports came close to going ahead themselves around the half-hour mark only for Ciaran Dobbin's finish to be blocked on the line by Tomas Gilmour.
But the deadlock was broken four minutes from the break when Gary Donnelly did well down the left before sending over a cross from Darius Roohi to head home in off the underside of the bar.
And Ballyclare doubled their advantage eight minutes into the second half when Liam Hassin tucked the ball in at the near post after rounding off a move he had started with Healy and Roohi.
However the Ports hit back a quarter-of-an-hour later when Ryan Mayse stepped up to convert from the spot before, right at the end, Mayse struck again to earn a share of the spoils for Niall Currie's side.
