LATE GOALS EARN BANGOR NORTH DOWN DERBY GLORY
Bangor struck twice in stoppage time to defeat Ards in the North Down derby at Clandeboye and move to the top of the Playr-Fit Championship.
Ards moved in front midway through the first half after Lee Newell fired into the roof of the net beyond keeper James Taylor.
But Bangor levelled on 41 minutes when Conor McDermott dinked an effort over Alex Moore from the right.
And that was how it stayed until a dramatic few minutes deep into stoppage time.
Ben Cushnie was denied by a goalline clearance on 93 minutes but a short time after that Lewis Francis did find the net to edge Bangor in front before, a couple of minutes later, Michael Halliday made sure after going through on goal to roll a third past Ards keeper Moore.
