DOBBIN AT THE DOUBLE FOR PORTS
Ciaran Dobbin bagged both goals as Portadown edged to a narrow victory over HW Welders at the Blanchflower Stadium.
The 25-year-old might have opened the scoring after eight minutes only to direct a header onto an upright, but he wasn't to be denied midway through the first half after flicking home a Jamie Browne cross.
Portadown held the advantage until the 70th minute when Kyle Owens levelled for the Welders at the back post from Liam Toman's corner.
However Dobbin restored the lead for the visitors with what proved to be the winner two minutes later following a good team move.
