WELDERS WIN EAST BELFAST DERBY
HW Welders defeated leaders Dundela by the odd goal in three to win the festive east Belfast derby at the Blanchflower Stadium.
The Welders led at the break when Matthew Ferguson found the net with a bullet header.
And the Welders doubled their advantage early in the second half when a Jaimie McGovern backpass caused confusion in the Duns defence allowing Tiarnan O'Connor to nip in and slot the ball under keeper Lewis Hunter.
Dundela did pull one back with 20 minutes remaining through Jordan Jenkins who rounded Michael Argyrides to slot home but it wasn't enough to deny the Welders the points.
