BROWNE GOAL ENOUGH FOR DERGVIEW
Dergview picked up a crucial three points in their bid to climb out of the bottom two with victory over Ballinamallard United at Darragh Park.
What turned out to be the only goal of the game came wirth just 13 minutes on the clock when Jamie Browne made the most of a mistake in the Mallards defence to send the ball into the net.
United might have levelled before the break with a Ben McCann header but Dergview keeper Shane O'Gara did well to keep the ball out.
Tommy Canning's side did have the ball in the net midway through the second half but this was ruled out by the officials before, on 77 minutes, their hopes of salvaging something from the game were dealt a blow when Jamie Dunne was dismissed for collecting his second caution of the afternoon.
Despite this, they almost snatched a dramatic late equaliser when James McGrath offered up a cracking effort but O'Gara came to Dergview's rescue to tip the ball over.
