ARDS HIT BACK TO SHARE NORTH DOWN DERBY SPOILS
Ards fought back from two goals down to earn a share of the spoils from the north Down Boxing Day derby at Clandeboye Park.
Bangor, on this occasion the 'away' side, moved in front on 11 minutes when Scott McArthur caught the Ards defence napping to roll home a Reece Neale throw-in.
Then, seven minutes after that, Ben Arthurs outmuscled his marker to drive home a second for the Seasiders.
Ards might have pulled one back later in the first half only for Callum Dougan to see a spot-kick saved by keeper James Taylor but, on 71 minutes, Dougan made up for that to set up a gripping finish to the game.
Ben Walker might have restored Bangor's two-goal cushion with around a quarter-of-an-hour to go but he could only look on as his effort came crashing back off an upright.
But, on 80 minutes, Ross Hunter hit Ards' equaliser when he received the ball at the back post and slid it under Taylor.
