WELDERS WIN ON THE ROAD
Goals from Tiarnan O'Connor and Jamie Glover earned HW Welders a big win on the road in the Playr-Fit Championship.
The Welders opened proceedings through good work from Ronan Wilson, who evaded two defenders, to tee up Tiarnan O'Connor and allow the striker to place his shot out of reach of the home goalkeeper on 36 minutes.
Just before the interval, the vistors' lead was doubled as Jamie Glover capitalised on indecsiveness of the Ballinamallard defence to pick the ball up and drill home from just inside the penalty area.
Into the second half and the Mallards pressed hard to get back into the game, they did pull one back in stoppage time as Joshua McIlwaine's effort was diverted into his own goal by Lewis Patterson.
It proved to be too late for Tommy Canning's men to salvage any points from the game as HW Welders picked up an important victory.
