COMRADES HIT TWO PAST SWANS
Ballyclare Comrades leapfrogged Newington into fourth spot with a two-goal victory over the Swans at Dixon Park.
The visitors came close with around a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock when Darren Stuart fired just over the top.
Ballyclare moved in front five minutes after that, however, when Bobby Higgins played a ball up the left flank for Calvin McCurry to collect and despatch past keeper Dean Smyth.
Newington might have levelled early in the second after Paul Donnelly found the net, but this was ruled out offside by the officials.
But the home side made sure of the points with eight minutes remaining after another Higgins delivery was headed back across goal by Owen McConville and beyond Smyth.
