PORTS BAG CONVINCING THREE POINTS
Portadown swept to a comfortable defeat of Dergview at Shamrock Park to move to within a point of the top of the table.
Eamon Fyfe opened the scoring on 12 minutes when, from a Ross Redman free-kick lofted into the area, he rose to nod past keeper Shane O'Gara.
Eoin Bradley doubled the home advantage midway through the first half after getting between two defenders to send a low finish home from the edge of the area.
And just over sixty seconds after that Kenneth Kane added a third when, after combining with Ryan Mayse to exploit a defensive error, he slotted past O'Gara from the edge of the six yard box.
Sean McDonagh pulled one back for Dergview just before the hour after the ball had been cut back for him from the byline.
But the Ports restored their three goal cushion seven minutes from time with a Luke Wilson header at the far post after Mark Russell had crossed from wide on the right.
