WELDERS LEAVE IT LATE TO GET PAST TEN MAN 'STUTE
Institute remain third in the Playr-Fit Championship despite going down 4-1 away to HW Welders.
Despite the outcome ‘Stute led for most of the game after Michael Harris had fired them in front as early as the fourth minute.
But they were reduced to ten men late in the first half when Ryan Morrow was dismissed for collecting his second caution of the game.
And they could have extended their lead on the hour only for Tiarnan McKinney to hit the bar from a spot-kick.
However, the Welders hit back on 72 minutes when Matthew Ferguson headed home at the near post.
Lewis Barr then edged the Welders in front six minutes later with a free header from corner before, sixty seconds after that, Tiarnan O’Connor hit a third from outside the box.
Ferguson then doubled his tally to complete the scoring five minutes from time.
