STAFFORD GUIDES MALLARDS TO WELCOME WIN
Ballinamallard United edged to victory over Ballyclare Comrades at Ferney Park in their first outing under interim boss Mark Stafford.
Scoreless at the break, Simon Warrington grabbed what proved to be the winner on 61 minutes when he found the net from close range after the Comrades defence failed to clear the ball.
The visitors might have levelled with around a quarter-of-an-hour remaining when they were awarded a penalty but Darius Roohi was unable to send his subsequent spot-kick past keeper Jack Le-moignan.
