MALLARDS HIT THREE PAST 'BREDA
Ballinamallard United moved into second spot with a three-goal victory over bottom of the table Knockbreda at Ferney Park.
Harry McConkey's side moved in front just after the half-hour mark when Aaron Harkin converted from the spot after Mark Stafford had been fouled by keeper Benjamin Fry.
Alex Holder then doubled the home advantage on the stroke of half time when he pounced on a poor back pass to flick the ball past Fry and tap into the unguarded net.
The Mallards were reduced to ten men very early in the second half when keeper Jamie Ray was dismissed for a challenge outside the area. He was replaced between the sticks by Aaron Smyton.
However they responded positively and extended their lead just before the hour when Peter Maguire steered the ball past Fry after Harkin had sent in a free-kick.
And despite being a man down the Mallards almost went on to bag a fourth through Peter McGrath only for Fry to push his low effort around an upright, with the 'Breda keeper later denying a header from Josh McIlwaine.
