ANNAGH AND ARDS DRAW A BLANK
Neither Annagh United nor Ards managed to find a way through at the BMG Arena.
Annagh crafted the first effort of note around the quarter-of-an-hour mark when Stephen Murray created space to get a shot on goal only for Ards keeper Alex Moore to make the safe.
The early league leaders came close again midway through the first half with Ruairi McDonald's 25-yard effort which sailed just over while, not long before the break, Paul Finnegan and Ryan Swan were thwarted by the visiting keeper.
United continued to create the better chances after the break, with Lee Upton blasting an effort across the face of goal early on.
However Ards might have snatched the points later in the game after an attempted clearance by Annagh keeper Jason Craughwell came back off Aidan Steele only to drift just wide while, in the closing moments, Steele could only send a Max Greer narrowly wide.
