HOLDER DOUBLE HANDS MALLARDS DERBY ADVANTAGE
Alex Holder hit a second half double as Ballinamallard United swept to a derby victory over Dergview at Ferney Park.
The Mallards opened the scoring through Jamie Dunne's left foot effort from the edge of the box with around a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock.
Dergview levelled midway through the second half after Niall Fielding rose with keeper Joshua Brownlee to turn a right-sided corner home.
The visitors were reduced to ten men just before the break after Jamie Browne picked up his second caution of the game, and the Mallards made them pay not long into the second half when Mark Stafford nodded home.
And the Mallards went on to make sure of the points with a couple of Holder goals in quick succession just after the hour.
His first, a great individual effort, took him past several defenders before slotting home from close range. He then followed up from around six yards out after controlling a cross from the right.
Dergview did bag a superb stoppage time consolation through Jack Parke's effort from distance and dipped perfectly to beat Brownlee.
