SEASIDERS BAG NORTH DOWN BRAGGING RIGHTS
An Adam Neale goal just after the hour handed Bangor a derby victory over Ards at Clandeboye Park.
The 30-year-old bagged the only strike of the game in the North Down showdown with a finish into the empty net after Ards keeper Alex Moore was beaten by a Scott McArthurs ball to the far post.
Bangor had enjoyed the majority of possession through the game, coming close on numerous occasions in the first half through Neale, Ben Arthurs and Tom Mathieson.
After breaking the deadlock Neale threatened again but saw a fierce drive beaten away by Moore but, as the game progressed, Ards battled had for the equaliser and almost grabbed it deep into stoppage time only for the Bangor defence to scramble the ball to safety.
