COMRADES HIT FIVE PAST ARDS
Ballyclare Comrades found their shooting boots with a comfortable defeat of Ards at Dixon Park.
Conall McGrandles opened the scoring on 22 minutes when he was on hand to head home a Gary Donnelly corner to the near post.
Donnelly again provided the telling ball five minutes later for Calvin McCurry to double Ballyclare's lead with a glancing header before, seven minutes after that, Darius Roohi finished strongly to extend the home advantage.
McCurry hit his second of the afternoon just after the hour after Ards keeper Alex Moore spilled the ball.
Conall Doherty bagged Ballyclare's fifth from the spot late in the game before Adam Salley grabbed a consolation for the visitors in stoppage time.
