HAT-TRICK FOR CARROLL AS 'POINT WIN THROUGH
Adam Carroll bagged a hat-trick as Warrenpoint Town stormed back to defeat Ards in an eight-goal thriller at Clandeboye Park.
The home side got off to a dream start when two Adam Salley goals put them into a commanding position inside the opening five minutes.
He bagged his first with a near post flick from Ethan Taggart's corner before using his strength to create space and nutmeg keeper Conor Mitchell moments later.
Ryan Swan pulled one back for 'Point midway through the first half after Carroll had laid the ball off into his path.
Then, in first half stoppage time, Carroll levelled for the visitors with a header from Ray O'Sullivan's cross.
Ards regained the advantage a minute into the second half after Greg Hall got the final touch in a scramble from a corner.
Back came the visitors with Carroll's second just before the hour into the bottom corner, and then Swan edged them in front for the first time on 72 minutes after beating the offside trap.
Carroll then grabbed his third five minutes after that with a super finish from another O'Sullivan delivery to complete the scoring.
