FERGUSON CLAIMS MATCH BALL AS WELDERS CLIMB OFF THE BOTTOM
Matthew Ferguson bagged as a hat-trick as HW Welders defeated Dergview at Darragh Park to climb off the foot of the table.
Scoreless for most of the first half Ferguson opened the scoring with an unbelievable strike from outside the box into the bottom corner.
The Welders were reduced to ten men on the hour when Daniel McMurray picked up his second caution the afternoon but, just three minutes after that, Ferguson doubled their lead with a bullet header from a free-kick delivered from the left.
Dergview were thrown a lifeline on 80 minutes when Mikhail Kennedy scored from the spot - and they then levelled through a Bobby Deane header two minutes into added time!
But there was still time for Ferguson to knock home his hat-trick goal and secure the win for the Welders.
