SWANS COME OUT ON TOP AT WILGAR
Newington defeated Dundela in a high-scoring, entertaining encounter at Wilgar Park.
The Swans moved in front as early as the second minute through Matthew Gorman, with Fra Brennan doubling their advantage after a quarter-of-an-hour with a header from a corner.
Patrick Downey then added a third just after that when he knocked a free-kick from the edge of the box past Neil Shields.
Dundela pulled one back midway through the first half courtesy of Eamon Fyfe's header from Ciaran Dobbin's cross.
That was how it stayed just before the hour when Ciaran Dobbin reduced the deficit to just one goal but, with ten minutes to go, Gary Warwick eased Newington's nerves with their fourth of the evening.
Jay Magee closed the gap again in stoppage time but it wasn't enough to deny the Swans all three points.
