VILLAGERS HIT ARDS FOR SIX
League leaders Loughgall stretched their advantage at the top of the table to seven points with a thumping victory over Ards at Lakeview Park.
Robbie Norton opened the scoring midway through the first half when he was quickest to react to the loose ball after Nathaniel Ferris' effort was kept out by Alex Moore.
Nedas Maciulaitis doubled Loughgall's lead early in the second half with a header before Eamon Scannell pulled one back for the visitors soon after.
However, Pablo Andrade restored Loughgall's two-goal cushion with around a quarter-of-an-hour remaining, with the Villagers then seeing two penalties in three minutes converted by Maciulaitis to put the game beyond doubt.
Mark Patton then completed the scoring with eight minutes remaining.
