SWANS STORM BACK TO EARN POINT
Newington staged a remarkable comeback to share the spoils with Institute at Solitude.
The visitors got off to a great start with three goals inside six minutes.
Cathair Friel opened the scoring on 12 minutes with a successfully converted spot-kick before Jamie McCormick added a second just four minutes after that when he directed a header past Marc Maybin.
And a third arrived barely 120 seconds later after Friel combined with Jamie Dunne for the latter to smash the ball beyond the home keeper.
The Swans reduced the deficit just after the half-hour mark through a Gary Warwick penalty before a scrappy encounter in the box ended with Aodhfionn Casey bringing the gap back down to one.
Remarkably, Newington struck again within five minutes - this time through Fra Rice - to ultimately earn a point which, at one stage, looked extremely unlikely.
