ANNAGH POISED FOR PLAY-OFFS
Annagh United defeated HW Welders at the Blanchflower Stadium to effectively book a promotion play-off spot.
Although not mathematically out of the title race, Ciaran McGurgan's side are three points behind leaders Newry City but with an inferior goal difference so a play-off against Portadown seems almost certain.
Annagh moved in front after half-an-hour when Stephen Murray converted from the spot, awarded after Craig Taylor had been upended in the area.
The Welders levelled just three minutes later, however, when Jake Corbett beat Eoin Hughes with a low and hard drive from around 12 yards.
That was how it stayed until just over a quarter-of-an-hour was left when Niall Henderson fired home a half volley after the Welders had failed to clear their lines.
