NEWRY HIT FOUR TO EXTEND LEAD AT THE TOP
Newry City hit four goals without reply past Ards at The Showgrounds to move three points clear at the top of the Lough 41 Championship.
Philip Donnelly opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark when he finished from six yards out after Brian Neeson had parried James Teelan's initial shot.
Teelan made it 2-0 on the stroke of half time after beating the offside trap to beat the visiting keeper one-on-one.
It was 3-0 on 55 minutes courtesy of John McGovern's finish on the edge of the box before he doubled his tally from the spot 12 minutes after that when he had been upended inside the area.
