HONOURS EVEN AT CLANDEBOYE
Goals from Joe Tully and Ian Parkhill saw Ards and Institute shared the points at Clandeboye Park.
It took Ards just five minutes to open the scoring when Tully nipped in front of John Connolly to get on the end of a Christopher Crane ball to flick a header into the net.
Ards might have added to their tally as the first half progressed with Benny Igiehon twice coming close while, before the break, Gary Donnelly nodded narrowly over.
The roles were reversed somewhat after the break with Parkhill almost levelling early on only to be denied by Brian Neeson.
Ards were reduced to ten men just before the hour when Conall Young received his second caution of the game for foul play.
Buoyed by this, 'Stute went in pursuit of the equaliser and duly found it on 72 minutes when Parkhill converted from the spot.
And the visitors tried to make their extra man count as the minutes ticked away but found Neeson in inspired form as he produced a series of fantastic stops to ensure the game ended with honours even.
