McALLISTER DOUBLE GETS TIPTON ERA OFF TO WINNING START
Two David McAllister goals helped Ards, playing under new boss Matthew Tipton for the first time, come from behind to defeat Loughgall at Lakeview Park.
The Villagers, currently second in the table, needed only five minutes to take the lead when Nathaniel Ferris took advantage of Ards' inability to clear a free-kick to send a deflected effort past keeper Jack Lemoignan.
However Ards levelled midway through the first half when Ferris once again found the net, albeit this time inadvertently turning a Gary Donnelly cross past his own keeper under pressure from Ruairi O'Hare.
But Loughgall regained the advantage on 38 minutes after Ben Murdock was allowed time and space to head into the bottom corner.
Back came Ards once more early in the second half when, on 51 minutes, McAllister bagged his first of the evening with a clever touch with the outside of his foot to fire across Berrat Turker into the far corner of the net.
Then, barely two minutes after that, the visitors moved in front. Joe Tully did well hold off the attentions of the home defence before combining with Donnelly in the box who, in turn, laid the ball off for McAllister to give Turker no chance with a clinical finish.
