QUEEN'S KEEP RUN GOING
Queen's University made it four wins from four in all competitions with victory over Ards at The Dub.
The Students moved in front after just five minutes after combining with Chris Middleton to beat Jack Lemoignan from just inside the area at the near post.
That was how it stayed until eight minutes into the second half when Middleton made it 2-0. He collected a ball delivered from wide on the right to curl an effort beyond Lemoignan after an initial miskick.
Ards pulled a goal back just after the hour. Conall Young had been upended on the edge of the six yard box by Matthew McManus and although Joe Tully saw his penalty saved by Declan Brown he followed up to bundle home the rebound in off Stephen McGuinness.
However, rather than push on for the equaliser, Ards ended the game with nine men.
Benny Igiehon was dismissed on 90 minutes for a challenge on keeper Brown while, five minutes into stoppage time, Christopher Crane received his marching orders after bringing down Caomhan McGuinness.
