BIG THREE POINTS FOR THE VILLAGERS
Loughgall picked up a crucial three points with a Lough 41 Championship defeat of Annagh United at the BMG Arena.
The Villagers, in fourth, trailed third placed Annagh by five points going into the game and duly took the lead with a quarter-of-an-hour on the clock when Mark Patton converted from the spot.
And they doubled their advantage nine minutes from the break courtesy of Tiernan Kelly who was allowed to direct home a free header from a corner.
Annagh pulled a goal back ten minutes into the second half after Peter Duffin fired home when a long ball was palmed out by keeper Berraat Turker.
However, any hopes the home side had of salvaging something for the game were dealt a blow on 79 minutes when skipper Niall Henderson was dismissed following an incident with Loughgall manager Dean Smith who also received a red card.
Loughgall made sure of the points deep into stoppage time when substitute Nathaniel Ferris found the net following a deflection.
