DERGVIEW TOO STRONG FOR 'STUTE
Dergview strengthened their claims for a top six finish with victory over Institute at Darragh Park.
The win moves Tommy Canning's side level with sixth placed Ards on 37 points, albeit having played one game more, and only two behind Loughgall in fourth.
Scoreless for most of the first half, the deadlock was broken on 42 minutes when Matthew Buchanan scrambled the ball home from a corner.
Then, in stoppage time, Matthew Kirk doubled Dergview's lead from the spot in what was a frantic finish to the first 45 minutes.
Brendan McLaughlin pulled one back for 'Stute with the second penalty of the game on 58 minutes but Mikhail Kennedy restored Dergview's two-goal advantage just over ten minutes after that following good work from Garth Falconer and Patrick Loughery.
