FIVE STAR MALLARDS TROUNCE STUDENTS
Ballinamallard United swept to a five goal victory over Queen's University at Ferney Park to return to second spot in the standings.
The Mallards moved into a commanding lead with three goals midway through the first half. Sean McEvoy opened the scoring on 22 minutes, before BJ Banda struck either side of the half-hour mark including a direct free-kick from the edge of the area.
McEvoy then doubled his own tally on 50 minutes from a Joshua McIlwaine lay-off with Ballinamallard's fifth coming via unfortunate Queen's defender Caomhan McGuinness who deflected a Duwayne McManus corner into his own net.
